Ascent™ | Insulated Glass Unit

Creating a comfortable living space is the goal of every homeowner, and your windows have a big effect on that comfort, especially when your home is at altitude.

The Ascent Insulated Glass Unit (IGU or window) is a pre-equalized IGU that replaces traditional capillary or "breather" tubes, increasing durability. AGNORA uses leading edge technology to ensure your luxury windows are sealed at the factory creating exceptional thermal performance above 2000'.

Find out why the Ascent IGU is a superior solution to elevated buildings.

Ascent IGUs are the only IGUs that are fully sealed and perform optimally at altitude.

Ascent IGUs are the only IGUs that are fully sealed and perform optimally at altitude.

WHY THE ASCENT IGU IS A CLASS ABOVE

Beautiful windows should be headache free and the Ascent IGU by AGNORA is just that.  Traditional IGUs installed at high altitudes require a capillary or “breather” tube that allows the internal pressure of the unit to equalize to the exterior pressure, eliminating any “bowing” in the glass.

Capillary tubes come with a host of issues including seal failure and argon loss. AGNORA eliminates these issues by digitally setting the pressure for the final elevation and sealing the unit at our facility.

Thermal performance is guaranteed as the argon level is set, and the unit fully sealed, unlike the Ascent’s traditional capillary tube counterparts.

No additional tools, no additional labour. Just install and enjoy.

FULLY SEALED

Receive argon filled Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) that are pre-sealed and install ready up to 12,000 ft. We use specialty equipment to accurately adjust the IGU’s internal pressure so it is equal to your home location’s atmospheric pressure. Pre-equalization eliminates deflection (bowing) or loss of argon gas.

NO ADDITIONAL INSTALL

Traditionally, capillary type IGUs must remain open for up to 48 hours to equalize with the current pressure.  These tubes must be “capped” prior to installation, which can create a point of seal failure over time. The Ascent IGU eliminates the risk of seal failure, reduces time on site, and guarantees a measured level of argon.

THOROUGHLY TESTED

AGNORA rigorously tests its Ascent IGUs to ensure the internal pressures are in perfect alignment with overall unit size, spacer width, glass thickness and final altitude.
